Match report U13 Girls vs Alderley United - 29/03/26

Strong winds, rain and hail made this a really difficult game to play in (and watch 😂). We were also missing a few players however the girls put in a great performance to record a good win.

Kicking into the wind first half was tough and the girls went a goal down early on. However they responded well and were the better team as the half went on. Equaliser came from Emily who finished well one on one with the keeper. Shortly after we were ahead, more good work from Emily resulted in the ball falling to Florence who fired into the net. Emily grabbed her second goal of the match before Alderley pulled one back before half time.

Second half and the girls continued to dominate. The fourth goal was the goal of the game; some good passing from midfield released Brooke down the right, her accurate cross was met on the volley by Elsie who found the net. This was a well deserved goal for Elsie who put in a top performance in midfield.

Next goal was a really good finish from Brooke, before Emily scored another to claim her hattrick

Alderley United 2 - 6 New Mills

In difficult conditions the defence were magnificent today. Lucie and Evie both put in really strong performances. They were supported well by Bella and Isla who were also good in midfield

Player of the match went to Millie who was superb in goal. She made some good saves, showed confidence coming off her line and her overall distribution was brilliant. Well deserved award.
