SK Vipers U14 Girls 7-1 NMJFC U14 Girls
A difficult match against a very good SK Viper U14s Girls team. The girls acquitted themselves very well and were a challenge to play against. The girls were 2-0 down quite early on but really got to grips with the game soon after. Plenty of of chances were created by the girls who were unable to convert any in the first half, the defence and Jodie did well to keep the Vipers chances limited although they did concede another from the penalty spot just before half time. Second half started really well for New Mills playing some really nice passing football and moving up the pitch well. They were rewarded for their efforts when Maddie passed the ball wide to Isla who played the ball back to Maddie who'd carried on her run and produced an exquisite chip to lob the keeper. It appeared the girls were still celebrating that goal when the Vipers had a 5 minute spell and scored 3 more goals. The game evened out again and both teams continued to play good attacking football. The Vipers scored another just before the end.
It was clear to see to all watching the improvement within the team.
GOG was Martha who went up against a really quick wide player and made it really difficult for her, putting in some good strong tackles and forcing her to go ways she didn't want to go.
