Match report NMJFC Under 7s Falcons- 9 May 2021

The Falcons had an early kick-off at Glossopdale this morning for our game against Chinley U7 Greens.

This is who the Falcons played in their very first league game back in September - and it was great to see how much our team have developed and grown since then.

The Falcons started the game with fantastic energy, closing down their players quickly and moving the ball forwards all the time.

Their efforts were rewarded with two excellent first half goals from Lucas and Poppy.

After the break, both teams kept up the energy levels making for a fast end to end game which was great to watch.

Today was the Falcons best performance of the season - every player putting in that little bit extra, leaving the pitch with their heads held high and our amazing supporters acknowledging that.

Special mention to today’s captain Henry.

This season Henry has been our goalkeeper for the second half of each game, but the last couple of matches he’s played outfield as our most defensive player. His listening to instructions and focus was amazing today. He read the game brilliantly, made a number of excellent tackles & interceptions and played some great passes out from the back.

Super proud of them all today.
