Initially, fears were that we would have to abandon the match due to some typical High Peak weather. The good news was that it stopped raining in time for kick off.
The match against CHCS Lyons was a VERY tense affair from start to finish and hats off to the players from both teams for their effort. This was a very competitive midfield battle, and even though chances few and far between, a combination of some great defending and saves denied either side the opportunity to make their mark.
The Yellows edged the first half and had their opponents pinned back in their own half but were unable to turn the little chances that came up into any goals. If the first half was tense, the second half got even tenser, especially as the Lions started to get a foothold on the game and started pushing the Yellows back. Both Teams came close in the final few minutes.
Another great effort by the Yellows and their hard work in training is paying off.
