Match report NMJFC under 7s Yellows - 28/02/22

The first game back after the half-term break carried on in the same vein as the other Yellow’s games since the start of the year. Exciting and end-to-end, and with the changes in the fixtures after the Yellows moved to a different mini league with the prospect of facing teams that they haven’t played against since the turn of the year. However, this match was against the SK Vipers, who had also changed league.

The first half was pretty level, with both teams cancelling each other out in midfield. Both sides were guilty of missing chances in a close half, but the Vipers edged it with a cool finish mid-way through the half.

The second half was different, and the Yellows could consider themselves to be unlucky.

The Viper’s goalkeeper made several important saves, and the woodwork also came to their rescue. James was unlucky to score with several chances, including hitting the woodwork. The Yellows did find the back of the net with what is now a weekly screamer from Ronan.

A performance that deserved better, but another great turnout by the Yellows, with only Seren missing from the side.
