A refreshed Falcons lined up against Hayfield U8’s at Glossopdale this morning.
After disappointment last time out, and a week’s break, the Falcons main aim today was to produce a consistent performance for the full game - and they didn’t disappoint.
In a first half where both teams were evenly matched, the Falcons had 5 shots on target - their best performance in this area so far this season and an another day would have seen at least one of these go in!
In the last couple of games, the Falcons second half performance has let them down. But today they started the second half exactly like the first. They stayed disciplined, concentrated and showed exactly the level of performance they are capable of.
Every single Falcon came off the pitch happy knowing their end to end performance today was so much better and already looking forward to next week.
Special mention to today’s captain Alfie who was fantastic in the midfield role today. His energy, going box to box, constantly getting involved in all aspects of play was brilliant and was unlucky not to be rewarded with a goal.
