NMJFC U10 Hornets v Wythenshawe JFC - 7/9/24 - Stockport Metro League

The Hornets are buzzing with their start to the new season in The Stockport Metro League šŸĀ

After a sensational year in The High Peak Junior District League last season, it was time for the boys to take on a tougher test.

First up, Wythenshawe! Our lads were incredible.... I mean every single one of them! They weren't shy and as the going got tough, The Hornets got going!

Albie was sensational & settled the nerves with a tremendous finish āš½ļø

Ollie M was in great form & going straight past defenders before squaring the ball.Ā

Kai has has settled into this team tremendously and was very unlucky not find the back of the net..... It will come Kai!

At the back, the lads were absolutely solid. Frankie, Finley, Oliver L & Ronan were preventing the skillful opposition from having many attempts on goal.

When they did get through, our superb keeper Fenn was there to save us! He was exceptional, even after facing two penalties!

Albie was at it again and Wythenshawe just couldn't deal with his desire to find the back of the net āš½ļø

Albie was also involved in the next goal as him and Oliver B showed some nouse & worked the drop-ball perfectly to give Oliver B a deserved goal āš½ļø

Oliver B ran his socks off on Saturday. He was everywhere! Breaking up Wythenshawe attacks & then starting-off our passing game.

What a start to the new season šŸ‘šŸ» You boys showed courage, confidence & character and your coaches & parents couldn't be prouder of you all šŸ’›šŸ–¤

Player of the Match went to Oliver B šŸ†Ā

He sets the standard required for a tough game with his energy & determination!
