NMJFC U7's V Chapel Town Colts - 17/9/23

NMJFC U7's V Chapel Town Colts - 17/9/23

Week 2 at Glossopdale proved to be even more pleasing than the week before! Everyone arrived early and we managed to get warmed-up & prepared with plenty of time to spare. This really helps the kids as everything is new to them and they all seem to be absorbing the whole 'Match-Day Experience' like little sponges and this was evident in the teams performance.

The Mini-Millers came out flying and they were rewarded instantly as Finley found the back of the net within the first minute with a fantastic shot from distance!

Ned had offered to go in goal for the first half and never put a foot wrong.

At the back, Captain Max dominated and didn't allow anything to get past him.

Myles & Teddy worked hard on the wings and Finley was in fine form dominating the opposition and they just couldn't handle him!

Ryan, Reuben & Aiden then got involved and there was no stopping the boys in the first half as Ryan found the back of the net with a great finish.

Second-half, we made some changes. Aiden, Ned & Reuben all enjoyed a spell in goal, whilst Finley dropped back to sure-up the defence and this allowed the others within the team to get a bit more time on the ball.

Chapel proved to be a tougher team to break-down in the final part of the game and The Mini-Millers dug deep and showed they can defend well too! Both Finley & Ryan found the back of the net again!

At the final whistle, there were smiles all round. For some in the team, you could see the relief on their faces as they are so desperate to impress. The confidence is growing in every single one of them and I can't wait to see how much they progress, week-on-week. Special mention to our goalkeepers - Aiden / Ned / Reuben. All three were fantastic!

Captain Max was brilliant and so was Reuben & Ned when they took the chance to play in defence.

Teddy, Myles & Ryan caused the Chapel Colts problems in midfield and never stopped running. 5 star performance from Finn

🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟   meant he was picked as Player-of-the-Match by the Chapel Coaches and deservedly so. Loads of goals, passion & desire on display.

Excellent performance Mini-Millers 💛🖤⚽️
