NMJFC U7's V Buxton Warriors - 5/11/23

After what felt like a life-time of ‘No Training’ followed by ‘No Match’ – The Miniatures of all The Millers got back on the pitch this Sunday & as always, they never disappoint! The lads have had a great start to their first season and as a result of their own success, almost nobody wants to go in goal anymore. Luckily Aiden was born to play in goal and protected the net so the other members of the team could go and score.

Ryan started things off with a great finish ⚽️ This little-lad doesn’t say much but let’s his feet do the talking and who wouldn’t when you have a little left foot like his . . . it’s like a magic wand 🪄 ✨️

At the back Max & Captain Ned were keeping it safe. Max likes to keep himself composed & calm whilst defending and it all looks very natural as he simply goes through the motions. Ned, on the other hand, likes to get stuck in and it doesn’t matter which direction he is going in, that ball is cleared! He captained the team today and did a great job.

Reuben is coming on and had much more of an impact on the game this week. If he continues like this, there will be no stopping him and if it’s possible, that massive smile he has may get even bigger

Teddy and Myles were once again working their magic on the wings and the passion these two have for the game is incredible. Both were getting stuck in when they needed to but the way they are always trying to set-up the next attack is excellent to see. Some brilliant passing from you both, you're our answer to Hoddle & Waddle (Diamond Lights)!!

Talking of passion, Finley has this in abundance and he simply ran the show at times. His trust in the other team members is growing and this particular game he played some amazing balls into the area and was even building up the play from the back, using our defenders to get the attack started. Finley also went on to bag an incredible Hat-Trick ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Every member of squad was delighted at the final whistle and once again, the kids have shown their families watching how much they are improving.

Ryan won our Player Of The Match 🏆  for scoring a wonderful goal but also putting in an excellent performance and tracking back and defending for his team. Ryan’s best performance so far! 👏🏻👏🏻

⚽️🖤💛⚽️
