The Millers were fantastic from start to finish today, with all 14 players contributing to the win.
Archie controlled the back line, with Fletcher, Stan, Alfie and Cole winning all their duels and playing forwards quickly. India, Jess and Bobby dominated midfield, starting numerous attacks with their creative play and endeavour. Darragh, Greg and Bertie terrorised the Diversity back line all game and created several chances early on, which were well saved by the opposition keeper.
Greg opened the scoring with a calm side-foot finish after Bertie had assisted. Greg then doubled the lead with a smart finish high into the goal after more good wing play from Bertie. Darragh then delivered an excellent corner for Bobby to smash home the third from close range.
Darragh then scored from the edge of the box with a well-taken drive into the far corner after Bertie found him in space.
The second half was played at the same intensity, and this team are a joy to watch when they get in top gear.
Daniel came on for Stan and defended strongly.
Bertie got himself on the scoresheet after a well-weighted pass from Darragh allowed him to finish for the fifth.
Alex came on for Greg, and Dan Walker for Cole, as the Millers looked to finish strong.
After a superb run down the left, Darragh crossed and Dan Walker was superbly placed to slot home from close range.
Darragh and Bertie then combined well, with the latter rounding the keeper and slotting into the empty net.
The scoring was completed as Bobby slid the ball through for Darragh, who held off his defender and calmly slotted home his second of the game.
A really enjoyable game to watch, with the Millers showing both sides to their game by keeping a clean sheet with outstanding rear-guard battling and then finishing clinically when chances were created.
Player of the match went to Alfie for his defensive work for the team, and Greg for his goals and leading the line. 👏👏👏
