Match Report NMJFC U10s Yellows - 23/10/23
Yellows v Whaley Bridge.
Another fantastic sunny afternoon at Glossopdale and hearing how well Whaley had started their season we knew we would have to improve on last week’s performance.
The team talk before kick off was all about starting strong and fast like we have been doing in the second half of games, and not waiting till the second half to start playing our game.
Straight from the whistle the Yellows were pressing and not giving Whaley a second on the ball, which for the management was great to see, finally they were playing football in the first half.
Captain for the day, Oscar having to make an early save, his distribution from the back and his drop kicks on point today, well done 👍🏻
The Yellows were in total control in the first half as they camped out in Whaley’s half.
Whaley’s keeper keeping them in the game, then some fantastic passing and moving from back saw Archie take his chance and the ball was in the net.
The Yellows were on fire, passing the ball while Whaley chased shadows.
Everyone taking a well deserved break for half time and the team were buzzing from the first half performance.
Halftime message was more of the same, the defence of Poppy, Nathan and Rowan winning every ball and playing it out to the midfield was spot on.
Midfield Archie, Franky, Angus and Sammie up and down helping the defence then moving forward as a unit. Robbie and Lucas running their socks off upfront getting several chances.
Overall an excellent performance today against a very good team, training is slowly starting to pay dividends, well done yellows.
POTM Archie his work rate was fantastic and his passing was superb 💪🏼
