NMJFC U10 vs Whaley Bridge Tigers U10
It was good to be back at Glossopdale after the festive break. A good competitive game of football took place on the pitch. The Millers worked hard for the whole game against a well organised Whaley and created many chances. They defended well mostly and broke very well with good use of the wings. Whaley broke twice in the 1st half to to score 2 goals they had other chances but Cole in net did well to thwart them on several occasions.
New Mills made sure there territorial pressure counted before the break with Alex scoring his 1st goal for the team and Darragh scoring with his right foot just before half time.
The 2nd half was tight with both teams creating chances. New Mills were unfortunate not to take any with a combination of good goalkeeping and defending. Whaley did manage to score 1 more. New Mills can be proud of a very good performance.
MOM went to Mayson who was excellent in debut, very composed in defence, comfortable on the ball and did well to snuff out most danger.
