Bollington Vs NMJFC u10's
NMJFC were playing against the only unbeaten team in the league and with 2 of our players away on holiday, this gave the squad a chance to shine and they didn't disappoint.
The lads full of confidence in the warm up and with a little reshuffle to the starting team they were underway.
With a greasy surface and an uneven bounce both teams struggled to get any flow to their game.
NMJFC were looking solid at the back with Ross & Stan, who were like a brickwall to the Bollington attack.
After 10 minutes the football started and with Lewis starting to pull the strings in centre mid, NMJFC started to show their class.
A few half chances past until George was sent through 1 on 1 with the keeper and he gave a cheeky drop of the shoulder and sent the keeper the wrong way and placed the ball into the bottom corner.
Alfie and Ollie on both wings were working the Bollington defence hard. Half time came and a well deserved rest for the lads who were looking comfortable with and without the ball.
Early in the second half some cool defending from Olly B sent Alfie away who in turn passed to Toby, and with one touch beat his man and smashed it home.
Cary in the NMJFC goal was commanding his defence well and towards the end of the game the ball fell to Lewis 25 yards from goal and with his skill and power drilled the ball over the Bollington goalkeeper and into the goal....... what a screamer.
Manager Nick Bennett said after the game that his team were unstoppable at times today. He was praising the team as a whole for there attitude, work rate and sportsmanship throughout the game.
David Wood domestic appliances man of the match went to Alfie - he never stopped working for the team and created several chances including a goal.
