NMJFC U10 vs Spurley Hey Maroons U10

Another fantastic game of football between 2 evenly matched teams.

1st half had some good football played, a very physical game which took some time to get used to. The young Millers had alot of the ball with Bobby bossing the game from the middle of the pitch. They were defensively well organised restricting Spurley to long shots from half way line (which were threatening). Bobby scored a superb goal into the top corner from the edge of the area from good wing play from Ollie and Darragh. Bobby soon scored again passing the ball into the bottom corner this time from fine work from Bertie. Daniel was strong at the back with Harry making several good saves. Spurley scored a goal from distance. 2nd half continued in the same light, good football played by both teams. Freddie battled well and was always an option on the wing and Gregory fitted in well in the defence. Spurley scored a super strike from there own half as the ball dropped out of the air and was hit on the volley straight into the top corner. New Mills were unfortunate not to score a worldy of their own when Cole hit a great shot from distance and was just over the upright. Harry continued to be a rock in net and was nothing he could do when one on one with the Spurley striker. New Mills didn't let there heads go down and continued to play there football with smiles on there faces and were unfortunate several times not to score again. Super game. MOM was Harry, superb in goal today 👏🏻👏🏻 #upthemillers
