Match report NMJFC Under 11s - 19/03/23

A minutes applause was impeccably observed in memory of NMJFC founder Mike Taylor after his recent passing.

The club would like to thank HPJFL for their organising of this superbly for our club.

A thrilling end to game was played with local rivals Hayfield. 

Chances were created at both ends with Hayfield dominating the first half and New Mills the second half.

Excellent saves from Cole in goal and superb distribution to his team mates. Darragh, Bobby Tommy all battled hard to keep Hayfield at bay.

The Midfield worked tirelessly with Greg, Indi Lincoln and Mayson linking well with Alex who held the ball well for the team from the strikers role.

Bert and Stan came on to add energy to the performance and both contributed superbly.

Bert scored an excellent team goal after Mayson was released down the right and crossed smartly for Bert to side foot home for his 50th goal of the season. ⚽️👏🏻👏🏻⚽️

Both teams creating lots of good goal scoring chances second half with Bobby going close on a couple of occasions to getting a goal.

Player of the match this week was given to our captain Bobby for an all action display in a couple of positions for his team.
