NMJFC Vs Glossop North End
There was no slaying of the Glossop dragon on this St George’s Day. Despite the heavy defeat there was some nice plays of football. The girls were motivated and raring to go, we talked pre-match about doing something a little different first half to give a couple of players some different time on the ball and it was nice to see.
First 15 minutes of the first half, some good passing and partnerships and moving the ball through midfield from New Mills, unfortunately the Glossop Keeper was on form throughout the whole game.
Glossop with strong defenders who used the long ball up into our area to their advantage time and again leaving us frustrated which impacted on our pressing and attack and motivation. Feeling disappointed is a tough one to get over at such a young age. To be able to use it to fuel play is hard to learn. Taking the positives from today, some great team communication and support, some nice little partnerships and skilful play. Our Captain chose player of the game today, we all agreed… Ava. Well done, hard work and determination throughout, well deserved.
