NMJFC U8 Hawks v Glossop NE Oranges

It was a blustery and wet Sunday at Glossopdale this week and we had a full squad of 8 for the Hawks against a very well organised Glossop team.

It was a very tight game with both sets of players showing maximum effort throughout.

Lots of chances came for the Hawks at the end of great passing and moving displays and they were unfortunate on a number of occasions not to hit the back of the net - being stopped by the woodwork and some fantastic saves from the Glossop number 1.

Another excellent goal from Leo ⚽️ gave our supporters something to cheer about with only minutes to spare and persistence from Glossop kept them right in the game until the final whistle.

This was a great challenge for this team and they once again showed amazing character in tough conditions.

Man of the Match: Liam 🏆 for having a tough job to do today defending but remained focused and put in a great shift every second he was on the pitch.
