MATCH REPORT - NMJU7 - 11/03/23
The mini Millers were at Brinnington for a chilly 9am kick off against Inter Cheadle.
Our 2 previous matches against Inter Cheadle had been very close, so we knew we had to be at our best to match them today.
Both teams agreed to play 6v6, as we both had enough players, and keeping more players warm in the cold weather.
Both teams started strong, with superb end to end football.
Some solid defending by Charlie and Rhys to start, with Paige trying out in midfield with Stanley, and Teddy as striker.
First half goalkeeper James, ensuring nothing was getting past him.
Excellent passing from the team today, especially from Stanley, up to striker Teddy, who was unfortunate not to get a goal.
We went in to the break 1 goal behind in this very tight match, Our goal scored by Stanley.
A few changes into the 2nd half, James coming out from Goal keeper, being replaced by Jackson, and Tobias coming into defence.
A few rotations to rest tired legs, as we were still in this game and were now pushing for the win.
More goals from Stanley, and also James for the 3rd week in a row. Well done James !
The game wasn’t over, with neither side giving in, we were under heavy pressure in the last few minutes, with Jackson pulling off a great last minute save.
Player of the match today went to Rhys. As always Rhys put in some excellent tackles, and also read the game superbly.
