MATCH REPORT - NMJU7 -18th March
A nice day for a 9 am kick off at Brinnington, against Heaton Yellows.
New Mills sporting there black training tops provided by Tague and Son Electrical and Joinery to avoid a colour clash.
New Mills had a small team selection today, missing both Paige and James, who were both unwell. Get well soon guys !
New Mills took control of the game straight from the off today, with Stanley making sure his name was first on the scoresheet.
A slightly different line up today with Tobias leading our front line and making it difficult for the Heatons to get the ball out of there own half at times.
More goals from Stanley came, and Teddy forcing an own goal from a defensive error before getting his own name on the board.
Some strong defending at the back from Rhys, and Charlie who are really forming a great force when playing together, and taking the pressure off our goal keeper Jackson.
The 2nd half brought a few changes with both Charlie and Tobias taking a turn in goal, and Rhys changing from defender to midfield at times, with Teddy moving up to striker.
This worked well with Rhys, Teddy and Stanley all adding goals to there tally.
A superb performance, with everybody getting involved and mucking in when needed.
Player of the match today, went to Charlie. Timing his runs and tackles superbly, and keeping the ball out when in nets. Superb !
Well done NMJ U7’s !
⚽️🖤💛⚽️
All the hard work this season by the players and coaches came together today and I believe the kids played their socks off in an effort to dedicate the game to their poorly teammates. Really proud of everyone involved, including the heatons players, coaches and support who are becoming familiar faces. 💛
