NMJFC U7's V Buxton Young Bucks Blues - 12/11/23

The Magnificent Mini-Millers were at their absolute best this weekend! Remembrance Sunday allowed our fledgeling team the opportunity to pay their respects to those who have paid the greatest sacrifice and we spoke about this prior to the minute silence. The boys were brilliant! They put their arms around eachother and stayed composed throughout. You forget how young they are at times like this but they did us proud 💛🖤

On the pitch, they took it to a new level. We have been practicing our short passing in training and it paid off. Ned took the gloves for the first half & did a great job. Max ⚽️ & Myles ⚽️ decided today was going to be their day and both got on the score-sheet for the first time this season. Two great goals and thoroughly deserved for two boys that give you nothing less than 100%

Ryan was introduced early and he was unstoppable again. This weekend he was creating. Ryan made some fantastic runs but was always looking for that final pass…….. Brilliant!

Reuben was on and this week he demanded he got on the ball more. He mentioned it last week, we worked on it in training and after the match he said “That was my best game ever”. He was absolutely right!

Aiden managed to get his spot back in goal and made a couple of great saves, Sometimes Aiden likes to start from a sleeping position, just to make it more exciting. Who could blame him?!

Second-half the lads turned on the style. Teddy dropped back into defence showed us how you can start the attack from the back. Incredible passing was allowing much more space in the opponents half and Finley pounced and scored a great goal ⚽️ Finley then became the provider as he took a quick throw and found Myles, closer to the halfway line than the goal….. one bounce & then the sweetest half-volley I have ever seen at this level!!! 💥⚽️ An absolute belter sent the parents, coaches (opposition coaches) and players into raptures.

This week the lads embraced all the new hurdles put in front of them of them and once again, they came out shining 🌟

Player of the Match went to Myles🏆 He was outstanding and really benefited from having space and being able to work his magic!

Keep it going lads, You're in great form 💛🖤⚽️
