Matchday 4 for our Under 8’s and possible their best display of the season so far!
This was all about grit & determination. How much do you want it Mini-Millers?
Reuben was in nets and was solid again. He’s added so much more than shot-stopping to his game this season. Reuben is becoming one of the best goalkeepers in this age-group & we are lucky to have him volunteer week-after-week to be our goalie.
At the back we were missing Ned due to illness so Teddy & Max played alongside each other and this really worked. The team looked comfortable and in control and the rewards followed.
Max⚽️ got us going with the most delightful lob from outside the box. Wonderful goal Max!
Teddy was working the right wing and going past defenders and whipping the ball into Harrison who was everywhere. On the left Ryan was battling away and just refused to give up when Glossop were attacking.
Mia got loads of minutes this weekend and her development is a staggering to see and is making her coaching team very proud. She is a very determined character and never gives up. Aiden also got a good stint in the first-half and was switched on and making sure he was clearing the ball.
Harrison⚽️ capped off a tremendous performance with a brilliant goal for the Mini Millers!
The final whistle came as a relief as every single one of our little team had worked their socks off.
Hazza 🏆 took the POTM award for another outstanding performance and a great goal. All round team display of courage & bravery from our Under 8’s who continue to improve, every week.
Next up – Glossop NE Reds on Sunday morning (8:45am Kick-Off) – Keep up the good work kids!
