NEW MILLS JUNIORS FC

Great to play a different opponent this week, and a familiar one in Whaley Reds. Good to catch up with the coaches and discuss how the last few months have unfolded for each team. We had a full house, minus Alfie today, so we were down to one sub……. It was touch and go before kick off whether we had a full team as due to outside influences a few were running late. Another 9am kick off meant another early goal conceded (clearly the girls don’t do early games😂). Despite the bad start the girls put in a great performance against top of the league Kingsway First half was was generally all New Mills but we just couldn’t score. Emily, Esmee, & Brooke all came close and we thought it was one of those games. Last minute of the half and we get a free kick, from distance Brooke steps up and smashes it top corner. What a goal !
