There was plenty of shiny new boots on show and parents sporting their new dryrobes, us coaches got New Mills baseball caps for crimbo, Father Christmas had played a blinder! The U10’s kicked off 2026 with their first game of the year against Didsbury Phoenix Maroons on a very frosty afternoon at Stockport Sports Village. Season 3 - Episode 7: Joseph at the double! After last weekend's drama it was back to business for our under 9's! This Saturday we kicked off an hour later than usual and our girls took full advantage. New Mills U14s Girls were away to East Leigh AFC in the 1st round of the cup today. A good start to the game and the Millers girls having to tough it out time and again against a very well set out, physical team. The U10’s were against another Richmond Rovers side, this time is was Napoli. Due to an away shortage of players, we agreed to do 6v6. Richmond started the better of the 2 sides as it took the U10’s a bit of time to adjust to playing as a 6, but they defended well, especially Charlie T who was clearing every ball in sight.
